Designed for finance professionals, this 15-hour course aims at providing existing users of Excel a combination of advanced functionality and practical financial applications. Courses are delivered by Stratos Panayides, a Chartered Accountant who has been the instructor in the successful short Excel series organised by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus during the last 2 years. 

 

It covers such areas as: linking betwen sheets and files in feasibility studies, accounts or statistical consolidation techniques, financial functions based on the Net Present Value concept, tax applications utilising the IF(), SUMIF() and VLOOKUP() functions, manipulating data originating in accounting/ERP applications using the filtering and pivottable capabilities and powerful decision-making tools like goal seek, scenario manager and solver.

 

The course also provides automating spreadsheet techniques resulting in increased productivity at work. Participants are invited to suggest their own areas of interest for inclusion in the course topics.

 

The course counts for 15 units towards the Continuing Professional Development requirements of ICPAC, ICAEW, ACCA and other IFAC member bodies following the CPD Standard IES 7.
