The Implementing Cisco Network Security (IINS) course aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to acquire a solid foundation in network security, including the current threat landscape, traditional and modern threat defense technologies, basic security feature configuration and verification, logging and monitoring. The course will also allow participants to perform basic tasks to secure a small branch office network using Cisco IOS security features available through web-based GUIs (Cisco Configuration Professional) and the CLI on Cisco routers, switches, and ASAs.

By focusing on the design, implementation and monitoring of a comprehensive security policy, using Cisco IOS security features and technologies as examples, it covers covers security controls of Cisco IOS devices as well as a functional introduction to the Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA).


IT Professionals wishing to gain an understanding of Cisco Security on the network or those looking to obtain the Cisco Certified Network Associate for Security Cerification.
